Résumé
This special issue is based on papers presented at the ICME-14 conference (the Fourteenth International Congress on Mathematics Education), held online and in Shanghai, China in July 2021. The focus is on innovative approaches to teaching mathematics to primary-level students, approaches that focus on learners building conceptual understandings of mathematics. This issue is international in scope, with authors representing Australia, Germany, Norway, Switzerland, and the United States.
