Résumé
The desire to encourage more inclusive practices in school allows stakeholders to develop an attitude of openness and to demonstrate an awareness of one’s responsibility to promote an attitude of openness towards others (Plan d’études romand, formation générale). It is in this context of collaboration that la Haute Ecole Pédagogique du canton de Vaud and Dublin City University (Institute of Education) undertook ‘PEERS’ 2017-2018. The topic explored was ‘All children enjoying and learning in physical education lessons’. The participants were two teacher educators of physical education (PE) and eight student teachers (four Swiss and four Irish) n=8. Physical education lesson observations in schools in Ireland followed by in the canton of Vaud were the focus to explore the topic. The observations were followed up with university meetings to re ect on the inclusion of pupils with special educational needs in PE in order to consider implications for physical education practices for the student teachers themselves, pupils, and teachers.
