Cet état des lieux est non exhaustif : il se centre sur les travaux des didacticiens du français de Romandie et du Centre de la communication orale (Zentrum Mündlichkeit) en Suisse alémanique. On vise ainsi à interroger les spé- cificités et les caractéristiques communes des aires culturelles francophones et germanophones en Suisse. Quels sont les traits communs, les différences entre les deux régions linguistiques? Qu’est-ce qui explique ces différences?By examining the institutional prescriptions and some recent publications on the subject, we attempt to delimit the oral objects prescribed and put into practice in cycles 1 and 2 of primary school, in the two main linguistic regions: French-speaking and German-speaking Switzerland. We also highlight some of the issues relating to the teaching of oral language, as they emerge from recent research in didactics. This review is not exhaustive: it focuses on the work of French language didacticians in the French-speaking part of Switzerland and the Centre for Oral Communication (Zentrum Mündlichkeit) in the German-speaking part of the country. The aim is to examine the common features and characteristics of the French- and German-speaking cultural areas in Switzerland.
