Plus précisément, il est postulé que dans une offre en soins globale, telle que proposée aux patients atteints de maladies incurables, le clown et son univers poétique peuvent trouver place dans l’accompagnement. Suite à l’intervention d’un duo de clowns au sein d’une institution de soins palliatifs, sous forme de visites en chambre de patients, des résultats prometteurs confirment la pertinence de la démarche. Il a été révélé des patients moins angoissés, ayant pu se raconter, s’amuser, ainsi que se décentrer de leur maladie tout en étant reconnus dans leur vulnérabilité.The aim of this pilot study is to measure the extent to which the presence of clowns can enhance the quality of life in hospices. More specifically, it is assumed that in multidisciplinary care such as that offered to patients suffering from incurable diseases, there is a place for clowns and their poetic universe in the palliative care approach. Following the appearance of a pair of clowns making room visits to patients in a hospice, the encouraging results confirm the pertinence of the exercise.
