Il s’agit d’abord de contextualiser cette recherche en rappelant d’une part les prescriptions curriculaires actuelles pour le cycle 1 en géographie dans le cadre du Plan d’Études romand, et d’autre part le contexte de la formation initiale d’enseignants du primaire dans le canton de Vaud. Enfin nous questionnons la construction des savoirs sur le terrain, du point de vue des élèves.This paper proposes to highlight the added value of fieldwork and direct spatial experience for the co-construction of knowledge with young students. First, we contextualize this research by recalling on the one hand the current curricular prescriptions for cycle 1 in geography within the framework of the Plan d'Études Romand, and on the other hand the context of the initial training of primary school teachers in the canton of Vaud.
